Measuring Airline Profitability

Understanding the profitability of an airline network is a complicated and often misunderstood process. Although total revenues and costs are generally adequately collected, defining which costs and which revenues to ascribe to subsets of the whole is necessary to truly understand where the company is making and losing money.
